Padded ipad Case

My future sister-in-law got an ipad for her birthday this past Saturday and I thought a little case would be the perfect handmade gift.

I’m still getting to know her so I hope this is her style.

Thanks to Pinterest,  I know she loves ruffles and her wedding colors are based around a peacock feather with plum mixed in.   I’m thinking this will fit the bill.  *fingers crossed*

I used the Polkadot Chair’s tutorial.   She calls for auto-liner foam and minkee for the inside, but I didn’t have those available when creativity struck.

I used 2 layers of heavy fleece and quilting cotton for the lining and straight line quilted it.    It made a squishy but not-to-thick padding and my pretend  ipad (ipad sized notebook)  fit snug while still being easy to remove.

And the back has a handy zip pocket.

Hope she loves it!

Lindsey

Fabrics are:

Plum floral:: Anna Maria Horner :: Innocent Crush ‘Loves Me Not’ in Grape

Plum dot :: Anna Maria Horner :: Garden Party Dot in Raspberry

Zip pocket lining :: Jennifer Paganelli ::  Bell Bottoms ‘Casey Scroll’  in Gray

Ruffle :: Charcoal linen

    Those cases look really nice! I have been looking all around for a cool yet stylish iPad case. I really like the notebook style cases! My choice has been narrowed down to the Portenzo cases. Does anyone have one? The reviews are awesome, but I want feedback from someone that owns one. Anxiously awaiting feedback. http://www.portenzo.comReplyCancel
