New York Beauty Swap

Oh my.  Is that beautiful or what?!

I found this amazing beauty in my mailbox on Friday.

It’s taken me a few days to be able to share with you because I can’t stop staring at it!

My friend Amy organized a secret New York Beauty Pillow Swap.

Kati from The Blue Chair shared this pillow on her blog last week and I secretly hoped it was mine.

You can imagine the shrieking when I opened my mailbox and saw her name on the return label!

The quilting is incredible and the piecing absolutely flawless.     Even the back is gorgeous.

I feel so so lucky, thank you Kati!

I’m actually finishing up the pillow for my swap partner today.

I have a bit more to piece and then on to quilting.

This secret swap stuff is a bit nerve wracking, I hope I got it right for my partner!

Mail day is tomorrow, so I’m off to sew.

Enjoying the weekend and feeling SO thankful for the men and women  who sacrifice to protect my family and our freedom!

Happy Memorial Day, Lindsey

hello! You said that quilts scare you – well, bags scare me! But – I’m going to try one! Being a nibewe to crafty blogs has given me a great sense of adventure with my sewing – so many people create fantastic things – I want to do that too! I love this concept that a singular person can do a simple ‘show and tell’, which may inspire/reflect/comfort/confirm so many others. The one hour craft bag swap – do you make a bag in one little hour? I would love to do a swap thingy with someone overseas – but no sure who, what, when.CheersBronReplyCancel
