Using What You Have :: Scrap Quilting

I’m honored to have a quilt featured today at The Modern Quilt Guild.

This week is ‘Using What You Have’ and they asked my thoughts on scrap quilting and the inspiration for my “Sewing Circle” quilt.

This quilt is the original larger version of my Moda Bake Shop tutorial, Mod Circles Baby Quilt.

Thank you Modern Quilt Guild and hello to those of you visiting for the first time!

Randomness.

First off, Hello, if you’re visiting from Modern Day Quilts! *waves*

Thank you so much to Heather for featuring my Mod Circles Quilt today!

It’s been kind of quiet in LRstitchland.   We had family visiting from TX so I’ve gotten behind on my sewing.   They brought  me an old quilt-related treasure that  I am so excited about.   I need to snap a pic and will share tomorrow.

I am also writing up a little tutorial for my pinwheel potholder and should have it posted before Monday.

That’s about it, hope you are having a great week!

The day is here, hooray!

I am so excited (and a little nervous!)  to be able to share this tutorial with you.   Thank you so much to those who encouraged me and have given such sweet comments about this quilt.

I hope you enjoy it!

If you are still interested in doing a Quilt Along together, please let me know in the comments.
