I am SO excited to have this little quilt done!
When I started on it back in February, I wasn’t sure I would ever get it finished.
I’m trying to make an effort to push through my WIPs, so I’m checking this off the list!

Ali let me test out her Janome at the ATLMQG retreat in March and I zoomed through the quilting with her walking foot.
(Loooooved her walking foot and automatic thread cutter. serious LOVE.) I need to get a picture of the reverse so you can see the quilting she helped me pick.
One of my biggest hold ups with finishing this was that my seam allowances were not perfect.
There were areas that I definitely did not have 1/4″ room and when I tried to bind it traditionally, it cut off several of the triangle tops.
I wasn’t happy with that so I let it sit for a few weeks.
Then I had a lightbulb moment…
Blanket.Stitch.Binding.

AHH, you have no idea how much I love it!
I adore hand stitching and the color this adds and it works really well for a wall hanging.
Lecien had sent me some Cosmos thread to try out and I used #271 for this project.
I trimmed off all of the seam allowance and then I used all 6 strands for a chunky stitch which covers the raw edge beautifully.
This thread is so silky!
I smile every time I see this little quilt. So glad I didn’t give up on the triangles!
Thanks for sharing in the process with me, Lindsey
