For the last week of the sew along, the project is an adorable trio of nesting boxes designed by Laurraine Yuyama of Patchwork Pottery.
Kati of From the Blue Chair is inspiring us this week with her set of Christmas themed nesting boxes. They are so cute and I love the free motion stitching designs she incorporated.
Be sure to visit her, she has taken great photos to help you see the finishing technique a bit better and she’s offering a giveaway too!

Oh Lindsey I can’t thank you enough for this fun sew-along. I too, have never done all of the projects from one book, but sure am glad I did. I learned so much and enjoyed the group camaraderie alot. I did link up for this week, but of course, consider myself excluded from the ‘drawing’ as I already received a lovely fqs of La Femme. Thanks again!
I didn’t know about your sew-a-long, but I certainly saw many of the items that were made on many different blogs. Thank you for introducing so many lovely projects to those of us who hop around blogdom!
It’s the last week of the Zakka Style Sew Along people. I can see some of you sighing with relief – I’m sorry if I’ve been a bit one-topic recently! This isn’t actually my post to be linked up to the Sew Along, this is a pre-post! I saw on the discussion group on Flickr that some people had made the boxes and didn’t like the construction. I had a look, I didn’t like the construction either. Far too much hand sewing… I knew there must be an easier way. So I made mine like a bag. This post is for anyone yet to tackle the project, this might be an easier way to do it! I made one the same way as in the book too, I’ll post about that next week and then link up. I’ll also give you the links, I don’t have them right now as they won’t be posted until Monday.
