Zakka Sew Along :: Wrap Up

It’s a bittersweet day, today is the last day of the Zakka Style Sew Along!

A quick peek at the final projects ::

We had 14 entries for this final week and the winner of the Le Femme fat quarter bundle is :: #4 Vera!

Congrats Vera and thank you SO much Robert Kaufman for generously donating 8 of these fat quarter bundles!!

Another BIG thank you to each of you for sewing along and making this so much fun! I think everyone has learned and made new friends and had a good time.

I’m grateful to each of you for your participation. You have offered your encouragement and also helped to trouble shoot errors in the book to help make it better. Thank you!

One last request, please take a moment to either comment in the Flickr group or email Rashida if you have any suggestions for helping to make the book even better.

Did you find any errors that were missed?

Is there anything that you would of like to see? (more photos, more illustrations, etc)

Zakka Style’s author, Rashida, has been active in the discussion group on Flickr and she is trying to collect info to help make future books even better and to let the publishers know what readers want!

This week our project is the Pleated Coin Purse designed by Karyn Valino of The Workroom.

There is an error printed in the book regarding the size frame to purchase. Karyn carries the frame you need here, which is 4 x 2 1/8″. Please make a note in your book so you won’t forget!

For our inspiration this week we have Joanna from Shape Moth.

She has created two coin purses that are so beautiful. Lots of details that take the purse above and beyond.

We’re inching closer to the finish line of the sew along, today starts week 20!

Welcome to week 19 of the sew along!

I’ve enjoyed seeing everyone’s bread baskets this week:

Not only were the projects gorgeous (per usual!), but most of you staged your photo with some bread. Love it!

My computer died yesterday from a power surge and I’m working on a new one, so I’ve lost all of my programs, including Photoshop where I uploaded the random.org picture.

So you’ll just have to trust me that it is indeed #1!
