I am very excited to share this free pattern with you today.
This beautiful quilt pattern was designed by Judy Martin in her 1984 Book, Scrap Quilts.
I received this book from my Aunt in Texas many years ago and this pattern just jumped out to me.
I knew it would be gorgeous as a scrap quilt!
I made and shared the first one here.
It was pieced traditionally, following the original pattern.
Piecing the triangles was a patience tester and I had many a day when I wanted to quit!
When Judy gave her permission for me to share this pattern, I was convinced it needed to be paper pieced.
So that’s what I’ve done. I have adapted Judy’s pattern to a paper pieced one that helps you make perfect pointy triangles with minimal fuss!

This would be a great ‘medallian’ for a larger scrappy quilt! Beautiful job on yours. Love the fabrics you used.
