Ode to Pearl

I started this mini quilt last Fall for my Modern Quilt Guild’s mini-quilt challenge.

And then I stuck it in the UFO pile where it sat for a year.

Thank you Faith for the little kick-in-the-pants I needed to finish it up!

You kind of need sunglasses to look at it, but I love it.    It was inspired by my sewing machine.  Her name is Pearl.

We spend a lot of time together and she seldom disagrees with me.   A girl’s best friend! 😉

Hope your week is off to a great start!

  • Aww! I love it! Did you draw all the pieces? I like the mix of fabrics you used. Sometimes, projects just need time to rest in a UFO pile for a while.

I sent a quilt top off to be quilted today. Tomorrow, I have to tackle making a motor cover for a jon boat used for duck hunting. 🙁ReplyCancel

    • Thank you Anne! I did draw out all the pieces and then appliqued them on. Good luck with the motor cover, I hope it goes together quickly so you can get back to sewing something you want!

I LOVE it! I’m sad we didn’t see it last year, but I hope we’ll see it at Show & Tell? I didn’t even know this existed : ) I have plans for a Featherweight version soon…. someday….ReplyCancel

    • I will for sure bring to show-n-tell. I can’t believe it didn’t jump out at you in my sewing room, it’s been stuck to the wall unfinished all this time. Make one for your Featherweight!
