Zakka Along Week 2 :: The House Pouch

This post is part of the Zakka Style Sew Along, please visit here to catch up if you’re just joining us!

———————

I hope this last week went well for you?

Did you have any trouble with your tote?

I’ve had a few fighting words with my triangles.  They are finicky little things!

There are some tips and tricks that were shared in the flickr group.   Pop over if you have any questions or suggestions.

I’m still finishing my tote up after being sick all last week.  (Ear infection, strep throat and pink eye for me.  sheesh!)

If you haven’t finished yours yet, no feeling bad.  Life happens!

We still want to see your lovely creation though, so please be sure to link up when you’re done.    This weeks prize drawing is over, but the link up is open again for you to add in your tote whenever you finish.

Speaking of prizes, let’s find out the winner this week!

I’m excited that we had 40 completed totes this week that were eligible for the giveaway.  I know a week can be a challenge, but you all did an amazing job!

This week’s winner of the Washi Fat Quarter Bundle is ::  #35, Colleen!

Congratulations!   Look for an email from me today. 🙂

Okay, it’s Week 2 and this weeks project is The House Pouch with Amy at During Quiet Time.

Projects that are completed and linked this week are eligible to win a $30 gift certificate to Zip It.   This will come in handy to buy supplies for several of the upcoming projects!

You may begin linking up your finished House Pouch today through Sunday April 15th at 11:59 pm EST for a chance to win the $30 gift certificate to Zip It.

Click on the frog picture below to link up your project or to view the entries!

I think this is the best sew along! Lots of FUN!!ReplyCancel

  • I am so doing this sew along this week. I am waiting for my linen to come and knowing the person I bought it from it will be here tomorrow because we haven’t had any mail since Saturday and there won’t be any today. It’s a Bank Holiday here in England 🙁

  • Congratulations Colleen!

I’ve got my fabrics ready to cut out for the house pouch – I’m using the same prints I used in the bag from week 1. I made a house pouch when the book first came out – it’s really an adorable design – Amy’s is particularly cute!ReplyCancel

  • Thanks again for pulling this together. I really enjoyed making the tote and I have projects 2 and 3 cut out and ready to sew… now to find the time to sew them!ReplyCancel

  • […] Once you finish up your house, head over to LR Stitched and link it up for a prize at the end of the week – we’re giving away a $30 gift […]ReplyCancel

  • I agree with Jeanne, a great sew-along to a great book. I wasn’t going to join in with this week’s project, however Amy’s post and a few of the other sewists posts, have twisted my arm. I found last week’s tote rather challenging – you can read about my honest experience with it at http://findingfifth.blogspot.com.au/2012/04/zakka-style-zig-zag-tote-troubles.htmlReplyCancel

  • I hope you don’t mind that I have added my second house.ReplyCancel
