I’m finally getting around to sharing my purchases for weeks 1 + 2 of May is for Makers.
I have been truly overwhelmed by the positive response to this campaign. I never expected it to spread like it has.
THANK YOU to those who read here, who have commented and shared. I appreciate it so much.
Week 1:
My first pattern purchase was the Carry All Organizer by Little Moo Designs.
I love making bags and especially organizing type things, so this is right up my alley! I want to make one for sewing things and I also think it would make a great gardening tote or organizer for holding cleaning supplies.
Week 2:
My second pattern purchase is the Maritime Shorts by Grainline Studio.
Hot weather is here in Georgia and I’ve been on the hunt for a good pair of shorts. So far it hasn’t gone so well! It seems most shorts available are either too long or WAY WAY too short. I’m hoping to be able to make a good custom pair I love and I’m excited to learn how to inset a zip fly!
What types of patterns have you picked up so far? I’ve really enjoyed browsing through the #mayisformakers tag on social media and seeing all of the posts.

Thank you for the great idea for the campaign. I am sharing a new purchase each Monday on my blog. So far, I have a new pattern and some stamping supplies. I got a quilting class on Craftsy too. The last two weeks are already set as to who I am going to feature, just need to get my purchases done.
My second week of MayisforMakers!
Have a fantastic day! 🙂
I just wanted to let you know that, your kind of awesome and I am glad I found you! I haven’t made made my own clothes sense high-school & I really enjoyed doing it!
