Lovely SAL! It’s so much fun to see what everyone comes up with!ReplyCancel

  • Wow! That was a tough one. I just got mine done – after trying all week with dreadful results – at 10:30 MT… I didn’t know the linky was EST or I’d be watching TV right now. LOL. Thanks for inspiring me another week. Looking forward to the next project.

    Warmly,

After you making it clear last week that only one entry per week is acceptable, a certain person has yet again entered twice. You deleted her extra photos last week. This is not fair of her to continue to disregard the rules.ReplyCancel

  • I have wondered what zakka is all about and seeing all of these cute projects being made – how can one resist. So I have just ordered my book and popped the button on my blog. Now i have to patiently wait until it is delivered to get started. I will join in with the project you are up to when the book is here, and then try and catch up backwards with the projects already done.ReplyCancel

  • […] week’s Zakka Style Sew Along project was for a pencil case, however I have other plans for a pencil case, so having […]ReplyCancel

My tote is done and it only took me 3 1/2 weeks! *hangs head in shame* hehe Glad to be well and back at the sewing machine. Can’t wait to share the rest of the projects piled up in my sewing room! xo, Lindsey

  • It is gorgeous. You have made a fabulous job of this tote. I started this bag in January as soon as I got the book, our summer holiday. it ended up in the bin. I just could not get my head around the zig zags and a sewing machine that was playing up. Will give it another go.ReplyCancel

  • It is so much fun, how people are inspired by the Zakka book. So very many different versions of the same pattern. Very inspiring!ReplyCancel

  • Someone had posted 4 phtos of the sewing kits for week 4 they had made. Are we able to make more than one to enter into the giveaway?ReplyCancel

  • Sarah

Looks like they made 2 kits and posted 2 photos of each, which doesn’t seem very fair 🙁ReplyCancel

  • Lizzie

Thank you so much for including my entry in your mosaic! I’ve had modem troubles since Saturday, so although I’m finished with my sewing roll, I haven’t entered it yet. But I will! What a fun sew along, with so many different personalities coming out!ReplyCancel

  • Thanks so much for including my pin cushion in your collage. It’s very flattering to be included with such excellent sewists.

I just linked up my sewing kit – it took me all week but I did it!

Thanks again for this sew a long. It’s been great.ReplyCancel

  • I am really enjoying this SAL! Pincushion is made, I just have to blog about it now!ReplyCancel

  • Lizzie

Yay! What fun! This sew along is like a sewing primer: bags, zipppers, covered buttons, sewing on a label– very nice!ReplyCancel

  • kateschmidt

  • I am so doing this sew along this week. I am waiting for my linen to come and knowing the person I bought it from it will be here tomorrow because we haven’t had any mail since Saturday and there won’t be any today. It’s a Bank Holiday here in England 🙁

  • Congratulations Colleen!

I’ve got my fabrics ready to cut out for the house pouch – I’m using the same prints I used in the bag from week 1. I made a house pouch when the book first came out – it’s really an adorable design – Amy’s is particularly cute!ReplyCancel

  • Thanks again for pulling this together. I really enjoyed making the tote and I have projects 2 and 3 cut out and ready to sew… now to find the time to sew them!ReplyCancel

  • […] Once you finish up your house, head over to LR Stitched and link it up for a prize at the end of the week – we’re giving away a $30 gift […]ReplyCancel

  • I agree with Jeanne, a great sew-along to a great book. I wasn’t going to join in with this week’s project, however Amy’s post and a few of the other sewists posts, have twisted my arm. I found last week’s tote rather challenging – you can read about my honest experience with it at http://findingfifth.blogspot.com.au/2012/04/zakka-style-zig-zag-tote-troubles.htmlReplyCancel

  • I hope you don’t mind that I have added my second house.ReplyCancel
