  • Your ruffle fabric looks *exactly* like some Martha Stewart sheets I have. Which I am now feeling the urge to repurpose. Which would give me an excuse to buy new sheets, right? (My husband just LOVES this train of thought. LOL.)ReplyCancel

  • Very fun – great prize so congrats to the winner!ReplyCancel

  • wow, what a price. I might try smaller one.ReplyCancel

  • Lindsey – it appears to me although the Zakka Sew Along header on your home page does not have weeks 5 through 8 attached to it. I have found this a useful place to go back and look at the different weeks projects including all the linked up projects. Can you update this for us? (Or am I doing something wrong?) Thanks!

Thanks for gathering together the helpful tutes! I’m really looking forward to this one. I just hope I can make it with my own time crunch ( packing to move). Gonna try my best….ReplyCancel

  • Lindsey, Do mini items of the zakka sew along count? like mini quilts? sheesh, had I known that was a possibility I may have made a mini! 🙂 I had never made a quilt before so this was a first for me, I was very excited with my results. Fantastic fun! can’t wait for the following weeks!ReplyCancel

  • Sarah

I think it needs to be clear what is or isn’t allowed. This week there are mini quilts and also an unfinished quilt top in the entries. I think it’s only fair if everyone puts in the same amount of work and makes the project from the book. I don’t want to sound grumpy, this is such a fun sewalong and I’ve enjoyed every week so far.ReplyCancel

  • I agree Sarah, its not very fair. At this point in time I think 3 ladies have made minis, I understand how spendy linen is, but those of us that DID make the quilt from the book had put in a lot MORE time and effort than the gals with the minis its really unjust (took me 4 days only because ive never made a quilt before). I too am not trying to sound grumpy but, where is the fairness in that? if that was the case, my entry for week 1 should not have been pulled out of the pot ya know? I hadn’t finished it-at that time I didn’t know there was a group to upload photos= I would have just shared it that way but, I linked it up-unknowingly. But, I finished my quilt FULL size and its only fair to make what is expected for the week, don’t “cheat” others out of the chance to win also. Sorry, I know I sound really winey.. but its not fair.ReplyCancel

With each project I make, I like this book more and more! I tried to make something a bit different from my usual bright/eclectic taste. I had fun trying to find ways to use this Square Dance panel from Anna Maria Horner.  I’ve never sewn with voile before.  It is amazingly soft! I used the […]
