Finally getting around to sharing this bag! My little girl requested a 241 tote for Christmas, just like Mama’s.    I love that she chose handmade over a store bought princess purse, my heart totally melted! She loves purple and I thought the bright dots were spunky just like her.    Glad to report she loves it! […]

  • thanks for showing us the purse(s). I had forgotten where I saw this pattern. You led me back to Noodlehead and now I have the pattern and know I can make a smaller version, too! Love what you created!ReplyCancel

  • Oh the cake looks amazing!! I love the bag too, lucky girl xReplyCancel

  • Danielle

Cupcake looks yummy! What type of camera do you use/have? Your pictures are always sooo good 🙂ReplyCancel

  • Annie Chen (@ADCtheABC)

I’ve made those cupcakes twice. Both times while making them I thought “There is no way I am doing this again” and then when they came out the response was “oooh… SO CUTE!”ReplyCancel

    • Me exactly! Now that they’re gone I’m thinking, aw those were fun. ha!ReplyCancel

  • Jennifer @ Ellison Lane Quilts

Gosh those look yummy and adorable. Cool Whip frosting sounds fab too! Sorry they weren’t much fun to make. Glad that eating them makes up for it.
Little Miss’ purse is super cute too.ReplyCancel

    • The frosting seriously is delish! They weren’t awful to make, just tedious! Not a quick project like I initially thought!ReplyCancel

  • Charity Reesor

The little tote is adorable. I am always drawn to your fabric combos! Great eye. I love all crafting, but baking is my bread and butter 😉 I must say, you make a pretty mean rainbow cupcake! It’s beautiful!ReplyCancel

  • yay, a mini 241 – so so cute. and those rainbow cupcakes looks so fun!ReplyCancel

  • what a cute little purse! i just finished my 1st 241, and it won’t be my last. it’s a great pattern, and i love the idea of printing it out smaller!ReplyCancel

  • Aw, your mini 241 is adorable! 🙂ReplyCancel

I managed to get the boys Dream quilt working like originally planned.  Hooray! I have 2 more spaces to fill in with smaller squares and then piecing everything together.     What do you think, too busy? I also finished a new wallet today and listed it in the shop.   Ahh… I love Anna Maria Horner.   […]

I really like the boy quilt, and I know they are harder to make than girly quilts. The only thing that looks busy to me are the smaller print at center top (outside the black square) and the smaller print at right bottom (outside the bright blue square)ReplyCancel

  • Jennifer @ Ellison Lane Quilts

I think the boy quilt looks great- very modern. LOVE the little glasses in the middle.
And you know I totally dig this wallet. Ahhh, inspiring me once again and hopefully my round two with my wallet attempt will be better. Actually I want it to look just like this one.
And yes, AMH is my favorite designer. Plus I am still hoarding those precious scraps you gave me last year – still have a scrap quilt in mind. I did break into some of them for my HST quilt and love finding Lindsey scraps in there! 🙂ReplyCancel

  • i love anna maria but i am a bit in LOVE with aneela right now. 🙂 love that quilt. it is so boy and i don’t think it is too busy at all!ReplyCancel

Back in December I was cleaning out my sewing room and came across a drawer full of empty spools.   I thought they might be cute as garland to decorate for the Holidays and later in my sewing room. There’s no telling how long I’ve had these.  I’m a pack-rat I just can’t throw anything away […]

Oh, that is way too cute! I’ll have to start saving spools now (one more collection in my sewing room!) so I can make one! Love it! And thanks for sharing your creativity with us!ReplyCancel

  • That’s adorable! I fight my pack rat tendencies so my spools go straight into the recycling bin.ReplyCancel

  • Oooh! I knew I’ve been saving empty spools for a reason! My husband thinks I’m crazy for not just throwing them out 🙂ReplyCancel

  • ohhh…I wonder if I could hunt down enough wooden spools for this project!? Love it!ReplyCancel

  • This is too cute! I just threw away a bunch of spools when I couldn’t figure out what to do with them beyond saving a few to roll bindings on. I guess I’ll start saving them again…ReplyCancel

wonderful! i inherited my great aunts’, my grandmother’s, my mother and father’s (yes, he did the sewing, my mother hated it, but man oh man could she bake!!!) thank you !ReplyCancel

  • jan

I used to thread several empty spools onto ribbon tied into a loop, for my babies to play with, like a rattle. They loved shaking them & teething on them. I don’t know why, but I’ve continued to save my empty spools, so I’m delighted to find this idea of covering them in fabric. Now it’s my turn to play with them!ReplyCancel
