  • It is so interesting that those spider web blocks appear to have a spiral design lurking there if you squint or back up enough that you only see the value. Was that on purpose, or happy accident?ReplyCancel

    • Total happy accident! This is actually just one block that I used in photoshop to get an idea of the quilt, so the others will probably have different placement. That would be cool though to get that effect!ReplyCancel

  • omg, that mock up looks beautiful! i’ve had a stash of blues from DS picnic and fairgrounds and have been waiting for just the right project to use them for. This could be it! It looks so amazing, good luck making it!ReplyCancel

    • Thank you Krista! I love the DS fabrics, those would look awesome in a spider web quilt!

  • Those spider webs are fantastic. I have to try this block out. Thanks for the inspiration.ReplyCancel

    • Thank you! They are really a fun block to make and great for using up scraps.

Wait, wha? Oh yes, chalkboard.pumpkin. Endless face changes, no gooey mess. Lots of fun and easy peasy! I also got my fall window box planted with some colorful mums.   I can’t wait for these to grow and fill in some. As soon as Oct 1 hits, I am ready to change up the colors in […]

Just wanted to pop in really quick and share some potholders I made this weekend. The Atlanta Modern Quilt Guild is doing a swap with the Knoxville and New Mexico Modern Guilds. My partner requested pinwheels, so I tried to modernize them a bit. Hope you’re having a great weekend!   Thank you to all the […]

    • eek! Thank you Jenn, especially for talking me down a couple of times, lol!ReplyCancel

  • Your quilt is so fun and pretty, makes me want to stitch one up today!ReplyCancel

  • I’m so glad this is a MBS project! I was going to try to figure out how you made your quilt–now I don’t have to! I need to make one post haste! It’s beautiful. Is there any way you could include a note on the tutorial that you donated the quilt to 100 Quilts for Kids? That would be such an incredible publicity boost for 100 Quilts. 🙂ReplyCancel

    • Thank you Kate!! I emailed to see if it was okay for me to add on a button for QFK! I thought of that when I posted it and wasn’t sure. Great idea!!ReplyCancel

  • Lindsay, Welcome to he Moda Bake shop. Your projefct is super cute. I am going to have to add that one to my list. So super cute! Thanks for choosing moda,

Congratulations! I would love a QAL but I might not be able to keep up! LOL I am very limited on my sewing time for the time being. But I can try if you do go ahead with it!ReplyCancel

    • Thank you Kelly! I think you’ll be surprised how easy this quilt is and of course no rush! Sew when you can!ReplyCancel

  • VickiT

I just had to come over from Moda Bakeshop to tell you how awesome this quilt is. I would consider following a quilt along but possibly in a few months from now.ReplyCancel

  • Congratulations! The quilt is lovely.
I’m not sure about my applique skills (ok, rather I’m sure they are non-existent) so a QAL could be a great way to learn.ReplyCancel

    • Thank you! You can totally applique, you can even just straight stitch and once you quilt all over it will be perfect.ReplyCancel

  • Love, love, love your quilt, congratulationsReplyCancel

  • Congrats!
I love the quilt and your tutorial was great and easy to understand.
I think I’m going to have to make this one.

    Thanks for sharing!

  • Beautiful work – love it!ReplyCancel

  • I already strarted it. I cut all the pieces yesterday and are getting the solid fabric after work today. I was quick to jump on the wagon because I had a load of squares I had plan to use for flying geese but somehow I went a little cold on that project (!). Your templates was perfect size and the quilt just seemed to fit my mood yesterday perfect. I’m doing a 6×6 and it will be perfect for my niece I think. Beautiful, fun and spunky 🙂 No picture on my blog yet though – will update it later.ReplyCancel

  • CherylH

Love the quilt but how do I find the Printer Friendly version with the templates?ReplyCancel

  • Julie

Found you from Modern Day Quilts. This is a great, clean quilt. I would love a QAL!!!ReplyCancel

  • nicole

This is really lovely but I much prefer THESE fabrics over the ones featured on the Moda website quilt.

A quilt along would be great; also can you give yardages required for larger versions? (I can figure out how big to make it and how many circles but somehow not the fabric I would need).

    Thanks so much.
    NIcoleReplyCancel

    • Thank you Nicole! Yes, I will figure out fabric for a larger version when the QAL starts!
