  • Thanks so much for this absolute great sewalong! I learned so much and did so many projects in a short time like never before! I enjoyed everything and every week!

Thanks too for adding my boxes photo although I was some late this week! I’m soooo glad!

Hope to join another fun sewalong with you :)))ReplyCancel

  • Oh dear, i can’t believe it is over. I have had such a very good time, Lindsey and have been inspired greatly. You did a wonderful job, hosting this sew along. I have never actually finished one. This is the first time.
It was a wonderful journey, in which I have learned many many lessons.
How good of Rashida, to want to make her next book even better and to listen to the people who worked with the book. The projects were lots and lots of fun, but I think the most important part is, to have the patterns tested by herself and a few others. Improvements and mistakes will definitely be found. I know this, since I am a tester. The person I test for, makes perfect patterns. She lets each pattern always be tested by at least 3 people. I am sure there are many people who would be willing to test one or two projects. I would be glad to be a help with that (o:
Thank you once again, dear Lindsey and also thank you to the wonderful guests who gave their version and visions on a project, the sponsors and all those who encouraged me to go on!
You were great in solving problems and very open in this whole sew along. I hope that one day you might organize one again. I am already signing up (o:ReplyCancel

  • Thank you and also sponsors! I enjoyed this SAL very much and winning this bundle is the cherry on top! Congrats to others as well. It was fun!ReplyCancel

  • I’m with Simone – just cannot believe we made it all the way through! The sew-along has been great fun and I thank you for all your efforts to make it run smoothly and such a success!ReplyCancel

  • Thank you, Lindsey, for hosting such a great sew-along. This was my first ever, and as I have a tendency to procrastinate I’m quite proud of myself for keeping up! 🙂 My suggestion for the book would be to add more pictures (tutorial style) especially for tricky parts. I loved the book, though, and in fact, it is the ONLY book from which I’ve made every project! I agree with Simone, as well to have several people test the patterns. I’d be more than happy to be included in the testers! Now it’s time to revisit a few of those projects for Christmas sewing.ReplyCancel

  • Thanks again Lindsey for hosting this sew a long, it’s been such good fun.
Thanks also to the sponsors for their generosity, I was lucky enough to win a prize along the way.ReplyCancel

  • Thanks again Lindsay for putting this together. I had so much fun doing the projects as well as seeing inspiration from my fellow sewalong’ers!ReplyCancel

  • I wish I’d joined earlier, I didn’t get the book until halfway through, I had a lot of fun with the projects I did make, thank you for going through all the effort to co-ordinate this!ReplyCancel

  • I can’t believe I won a giveaway, I’d given up hope! I really enjoyed the SAL, with or without prizes and can’t believe I made 18 out of 24 and stuck it out til the end! Thanks so much Lindsey and AmyReplyCancel

  • Even though I couldn’t participate every week, I enjoyed the Sew-A-Long! It was so nice to “meet” such nice, supportive, like-crafted people and see everyone’s interpretation of the projects!ReplyCancel

  • Lindsey, thank you for organising the links, incentives and allowing us to be showcased each week. Thank you to the guest bloggers and designers for stretching us. Thank you Zakka SAL community for the support and humour as we have journeyed together.ReplyCancel

Today I’m sharing a new project as a part of Craft Book Month hosted by Craftbuds. I jumped at the chance to join in this month long celebration because books + crafting = total happiness in my world! The latest craft book to join my library is Sew Up a Home Makeover by Lexie Barnes. […]

  • Lindsey, many thanks for hosting this sew a long, it’s been such fun taking part. Don’t think I have ever made so many things from one book before.ReplyCancel

  • I cant believe its the last week.. Lindsey do another book…….. “please mommie blog” read another one…..ReplyCancel

  • Oh Lindsey I can’t thank you enough for this fun sew-along. I too, have never done all of the projects from one book, but sure am glad I did. I learned so much and enjoyed the group camaraderie alot. I did link up for this week, but of course, consider myself excluded from the ‘drawing’ as I already received a lovely fqs of La Femme. Thanks again!ReplyCancel

  • Susan

I didn’t know about your sew-a-long, but I certainly saw many of the items that were made on many different blogs. Thank you for introducing so many lovely projects to those of us who hop around blogdom!ReplyCancel

  • It’s the last week of the Zakka Style Sew Along people. I can see some of you sighing with relief – I’m sorry if I’ve been a bit one-topic recently! This isn’t actually my post to be linked up to the Sew Along, this is a pre-post! I saw on the discussion group on Flickr that some people had made the boxes and didn’t like the construction. I had a look, I didn’t like the construction either. Far too much hand sewing… I knew there must be an easier way. So I made mine like a bag. This post is for anyone yet to tackle the project, this might be an easier way to do it! I made one the same way as in the book too, I’ll post about that next week and then link up. I’ll also give you the links, I don’t have them right now as they won’t be posted until Monday.ReplyCancel

These are seriously so fast and rewarding to make. I made another in fabric from my current favorite collection, Indie by Pat Bravo. Love the colors.  I have a Washi tunic for me planned out of what’s left of this print. I need to share the Washi I made on Friday, it’s a really great […]
